Can You Trust Nintendo 64 Memory Cards From AliExpress?
I have had my Nintendo 64 since my childhood days. I still play with it from time to time. I have one memory card from back then, and since I have a multicart that allows me access to more games than I could dream of back then, it got full. I already had to delete a few saves in order to play Castlevania last year, so I couldn’t use it anymore without deleting important saves from childhood memories, where I competed with my brother in Wave Racer stunt mode.. Because of that, I thought it would be a good idea to buy a new card instead of going through all that hassle.

AliExpress Comes To The Rescue
While looking for the Nintendo 64 Expansion Pack (the red one you can’t play Donkey Kong 64 & other games without it). I found cheap memory cards sold on AliExpress, and I thought about trying one out. I know I could get something more well-known like the Forever Pak, but I like to experiment with buying stuff from AliExpress, and that’s something I write about frequently here in Tech Fairy. So why not now? So, I ordered one, and I received it last week. So far, the memory card has worked fine with me, and as always, if anything happens after writing this review, I am going to update it with my new experience.
I played the whole Vigilante 8 with it over the course of multiple days. I saved & loaded my game many times, and it worked like a champ. There’s no telling whether this memory card is a used one they are reselling or a clone of the original product. From how clean it looked, I assume it is the latter.
So, based on my experience with this memory card, I totally recommend it.
And Finally
Depending on how many Nintendo 64 games I play that require the external memory card, it will be a while before I fill the new memory card. I will keep using it for all these games to see how it works.
There are other memory card options on AliExpress. I may try them out & write about them here in the future. But for now, I will keep using this one to keep testing it. I quite like how it looks like the original from the outside.
Anyway, I hope you find my experience with the Nintendo 64 memory card from AliExpress useful, and I will see you in another Tech Fairy article. Check out the mobile apps I developed, which I hope you find useful & interesting.
